The StoryCREATIVITY NESTLED IN THE PERTH HILLS
Andrea is a ceramic artist and a teacher and Vlado is a civil engineer, and they love engaging in and collaborating on interesting projects. They built their energy efficient passive solar home on the foundations of the old 70’s house. The house is designed so that spaces can change function as the owners needs change and creating the artists residency is the latest transformation of some of the areas. As the kids moved out, the house became too large for Andrea, Vlado, and their 2 dogs, however the location, large ceramic studio and workshop shed was too hard to part ways with. Instead, they decided to create The Blue Studio Residency and share the beautiful location as well as the studio with the makers, creatives and artists needing a new inspiration, a break in the routine or a new space to work on their projects. |
